We were looking for something that would melt the ice on our front steps without ruining the concrete. This worked perfectly on both the steps and walkway by keeping them safe and ice free. Much appreciated.
This ice melt does in fact work really well, it instantly provides traction on slippery ice and then quickly melts it, and my dogs can safely walk on it without it burning or stinging their little paws. Also, it does not stain or destroy your brick/concrete/stone walkways.
You get a 10lb bag which is easy to carry for most people, and is perfect to keep by your house door, or even keep one in your car.
That being said, this works similarly to other pet safe brands that are either much more affordable or you get 2-3x more for the same price, or both. If they were to sell this sized bag for a third of the price I would say it could get a five star review but the cost is just too much unfortunately.
