This premium deicing product is effective down to extreme cold temperatures and saver for the environment. Organic Melt is enhanced with our patented organic deicing liquid derived from degraded sugar-beets, for maximum melting power.
Finer granules of salt are used in order to speed up the melting process and to reduce the amount of material that can be tracked inside buildings. Organic Melt is less harmful to the environment than conventional ice melters.
This product certainly works to melt stubborn ice on sidewalks, steps and driveways. I use this rather than salt because it's pet-friendly and doesn't harm my daughter's dog's paw pads. However, I find it does stain concrete, and can't be easily washed off. It's also expensive relative to salt products. I can easily use a whole canister in one application. The most economical way to purchase is by buying the canisters and then refilling them from the 20 kg bulk bags. Should be used sparingly!
